For the price, location, and staff would stay there again!
LOVED the location!!! Walked to everything. Though the hotel didn't offer breakfast, there were plenty of reasonably priced restaurants to choose from a few doors away. The tube, the parks, the train to Heathrow, everything was available nearby. The one time we needed a taxi for the theater the staff made all the arrangements in advance and called us when it arrived. All of them were extremely helpful and friendly. And, yes, there was plenty of hot water.
The elevator had some odd quirks. It delivered us to the basement the first time we used it and once skipped our floor when we were going up and someone on a higher floor had already pushed the down button which made for a very crowded ride down again. The room was well stocked and clean, but so tiny that opening the bathroom door cut off access to one of the beds. Not an unusual problem when old houses are converted into hotels, but very large people or those with mobility issues (like my companion) would have trouble just getting into and out of their bed.
